Same game multis are a staple product for bookmakers, but they can also be a staple promotion for matched bettors too, if they are able to stomach the variance.

If you are willing to handle some risk and maybe even be willing to do some research, then employing same game multis that you don’t lay can bring you some amazing returns.

This promotion is offered by most bookies, and while you may have to meet minimum odds requirements, most of them are quite reasonable, and allow you to actually gain an edge over the bookies.

How to do it?

If you are not going to do any research and just try and meet the minimum odds requirements, then this strategy is really quite simple. You just find the minimum amount of legs that you like and then place the bet.

That is literally all it is. However, it is important to make sure the odds are as close to the minimum as possible, as anything extra really is just slowly taking away your edge.

Furthermore, never go over the minimum amount of legs, as because each leg is almost guaranteed to be underpaying the punter, when you start multiplying the odds together like you do with a multi, then you are stuck with an even worse expected value.

Importantly, you are not trying to win every single one (although that would be nice), because you can lose most of the time but still turn a profit, simply by earning the bonus bets rather than losing the stake.

It is simple maths, but it is incredibly powerful when it is working in your favour.

Where to do it?

My favourite place to use this strategy is with Pointsbet, as they offer payback tokens on a daily basis that can be used for this strategy. They require minimum odds of 3.00, which is one of the higher requirements, but it also only requires 3 legs, which is far better than other bookies that require 4.

However, this bet can be done at most bookmakers, including the following:

  • Sportsbet

  • TAB

  • Neds

  • Dabble

  • Betr

  • PlayUp

  • BlueBet

  • Bet Right

  • Pointsbet

There are also some other bookies that offer these sorts of promotions, but I would be a bit more cautious about using them. They are known for not liking people using sports promotions, or generally just playing dirty against matched bettors, so I wouldn't go near them. These bookies include:

  • Swiftbet

  • ActionBet

  • BBet

  • GetSetBet

  • BoomBet

This is, I believe, the second most prolific promotion, after thoroughbred bet returns, so there really is no shortage of them.

You can generally get your stake back in bonus bets up to $50, but some of the smaller bookies only do it up to $25.

So if you are running a decent sized operation, you can be placing dozens of these bets each week, giving an incredible profit over the long run.

Who does it suit?

As you can lose your entire stake with a bet, I only recommend this strategy to individuals who have a large tolerance for variance, along with a healthy bankroll.

I would set aside $1000 of my bankroll specifically just for these same game multis, as you don’t want a bad weekend of bets to sink your accounts.

Same game multis are a great promotion, giving you something that is quick, easy and incredibly profitable, really a perfect deal. Once you have got the bankroll then you can really start ramping up the profits!
